Artist copy

For my artist copy, I used the album cover of Surfing with the Alien, the image is by John Byrne and was used in the first edition of Silver Surfer. I chose this one because I like the comic style of the cover and was interested in going through the processes of drawing in that style. 

I started by drawing three different layers; the surfer outline, the blue and the yellow.  I then scanned them into the computer and coloured and layered them using photoshop, I then added the text using a drop shadow to recreate the effect on the original.
